New Buildings - Green Star Accredited Professional Program (GSAP NB)

About the Program

*GBCSA has introduced Live Webinars to replace the Face to Face Workshops in order to accommodate for the new social distancing regulations.

The program provides a comprehensive overview of the Green Star rating system for Design and As Built tools for the objective measurement and rating of the environmental performance of new buildings and major refurbishments and provides insight into all major aspects of environmental sustainability that should be considered in the design and construction of green buildings.

This program is the formal accreditation pathway required for registration as a recognised Green Star Accredited Professional for Interiors (GSAP i) with the Green Building Council South Africa.

As a registered GSAP NB, you will be equipped with the knowledge to guide a project team in the design and certification of a Green Star registered project for a range of building types and be recognised as a professional with a greater understanding of environmental issues related to the built environment and property industry.

Objectives of the program are to ensure that all who attend:

  1. Gain an understanding of the importance of green building and understand the role of the GBCSA
  2. Understand the Design and As Built Suite of tools (Office, Multi-unit Residential, Retail & Public & Education Buildings, Custom)
  3. Are able to, if suitably qualified, be recognized as a Green Star New Buildings Accredited Professional
