Cormac Cullinan is an environmental lawyer, author, speaker and advocate for ecological sustainability. He is a director of South Africa’s oldest specialist environmental and green business law firm, Cullinan & Associates Inc. in Cape Town.
Cormac has worked in more than 20 countries and has drafted environmental treaties, legislation and policies in countries around the world. He has been included in a book profiling 301 extraordinary environmentalists in history (2008) and is a recipient of the Nick Steele award for the South African environmentalist of the year (2012) and the Enviropaedia Ecologic
lifetime achievement award (2018).
His groundbreaking book Wild Law A Manifesto for Earth Justice has played a significant role in informing and inspiring a growing international movement. The Chinese edition of Wild Law was selected as one of the Top 10 Good Books in China (2017). Cormac is also founder and executive committee member of the Global Alliance for Rights of Nature and a director of the recently
established Wild Law Institute.
