In 2014 the V&A Waterfront set out to retrofit an existing warehouse that housed a market and convert it into a building that would be utilised daily by locals and tourists alike. The ground floor was designed for retail, whilst floors one and two were to be used as offices. The co-working tenant, Workshop 17 now utilises the first and second floor, a space which over 240 entrepreneurs call their offices.
